When Lester Liston heard the news Rutgers was moving to the Big Ten, one of the first things he did was hop on Twitter and send a message to his former Grand Blanc (Mich.) teammate Tony Jones.
"My first year on varsity, T.J. was the best player on the team, and Coach never let nobody hit him in practice," Liston said. "So I told him Coach [Joe] Delaney is not here to save you this time."
Jones is a sophomore receiver at Northwestern; Liston is a three-star outside linebacker currently at Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy committed to the Knights. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker is hoping he gets to see Jones and a lot of his old friends on the field now that Rutgers is making the move to the Big Ten.
