For Randy Heideman (Normal, Ill./Normal Community), it was never about going to the biggest school that offered. It was about going to the best fit. So even though he had BCS programs after him, Heideman went with a MAC program.
The three-star offensive tackle committed to Miami (Ohio) on Friday.
“All along from the beginning when I started the process I had three things in mind and whichever school matched that the most was going to be where I wanted to go,” Heideman said. “Miami had those three of a great relationship with the coaches and teammates, great academics and competitive football.
