WMU OL pledge Day exploring options

Three-star offensive tackle Jackson Day (Mishawaka, Ind./Penn) was making a visit to Western Michigan on Saturday, and while the Broncos suffered another loss, he did not think it would mark the end of Bill Cubit's tenure.

Hours after the game, however, Western Michigan announced Cubit was being let go as coach. The move has Day, who committed to the Broncos in in July, considering his other options.

"To be completely honest with you, we are shocked by Coach Cubit being fired as we were just there yesterday for the game," Jackson's father, John, wrote in an email. "With the uncertainty now of who the new head coach will be and if they retain Coach [A.J.] Ricker as the offensive line coach, we are going to be exploring our options.
