Hours after Westerville (Ohio) South tight end Darryl Long received an offer from Pittsburgh, another BCS program followed suit.
The Class of 2014 tight end talked Monday with Illinois recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach Alex Golesh, who tendered him an offer.
"He said he loved the way I've been playing," Long said of his conversation with Golesh. "He liked how I showed out at their camp."
Pitt tight ends coach Joe Rudolph offered Long earlier in the evening, giving the 6-foot-5, 217-pound junior his first BCS offer. Ohio was his first offer and came during the summer after a camp.
