This summer, Darryl Long (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville South) moved to tight end. The move is paying dividends for Long, who added offer No. 2 on Monday.
Pittsburgh assistant coach Matt House visited the school earlier in the day Monday and let Long know to give tight ends coach Joe Rudolph a call. When Long did, Rudolph gave him the good news.
“I got off the phone with him not too long ago,” Long said. “He liked my tape, said he liked I was versatile and can block and catch real good. They pulled my grades and saw what my grades are and I took the SAT and said I have a lot going for me right now.”
