Although Virginia Tech has not offered, junior outside linebacker Chris Frey (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) could not be higher on the Hokies program. He made the trip to Blacksburg, Va., for Thursday night’s game, his seventh visit to Virginia Tech.
It was his first time seeing a game on the Virginia Tech campus, however. He missed seeing the spring game as it was rained out.
“Since I started coming down here I always wanted to go to a game,” Frey said. “It was an amazing atmosphere. There wasn’t very many recruits, which was good because it gave us more time with the coaches. ‘Enter Sandman’ before the game was a crazy thing to see.
