News travels fast in the Twitter age, even when it comes to college football scholarship offers as junior running back Mikel Horton (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) found out Monday.
Horton first found out about his offer when he saw a tweet from Mike Dyer of the Cincinnati Enquirer that read Indiana offered the 6-foot-1, 228-pound back.
"All my friends told me and I said I hadn't heard, so I looked it up and my coach told Mike Dyer and he posted in his blog I got an offer," Horton said.
