An issue with an SAT score prohibited Marcus Ball (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville South) from making any official visits to this point. That should change in a few weeks.
The three-star athlete took his SAT earlier this month, and now Ball is able to make official visits. He had to cancel an official visit to Wisconsin in September because he did not have a test score on file.
Arizona State will likely get the first official visit, as Ball is planning to make it to Tempe the weekend of Oct. 26 when the Sun Devils host UCLA. Wisconsin will host Ball for an official visit the weekend of Nov. 16 for the Ohio State game.
Ball’s older brother, Ray, is a redshirt freshman at Wisconsin and committed to the Badgers after officially visiting for the Ohio State game two years ago.
Michigan State and Notre Dame join Arizona State and Wisconsin to form Ball’s top group. Illinois and Tennessee are also up there.
The Volunteers are a new name among Ball’s favorites although Tennessee has yet to offer. Ball is planning to unofficially visit Knoxville this weekend for the Alabama game, though. Ball believes he could get an offer during his visit.
“They want to [offer] and just want to do the eye test when I’m down there,” Ball wrote in a text.
