With Pickerington (Ohio) Central playing its playoff games on Saturday, ESPNU Watch List junior Taco Charlton hasn’t been able to make any visits since the postseason started Nov. 5. He was planning on making it to Ann Arbor for Michigan’s game against Ohio State, but Pickerington Central won its region and will play in the state semifinals Saturday.
“I hope Michigan pulls it off man. They showed me the love first and they offered, so I hope they pull it off in big fashion,” Charlton said. “I wish I could make it but I’ll be with my team out there – this is my family now so I’ll be with them. Hopefully Michigan pulls it off and I’ll hear about it later.”
Charlton said Michigan is one of the schools he talks to the most along with Notre Dame and Purdue. Charlton holds offers from those three plus Cincinnati, Syracuse and UCLA already.
A couple of schools down south have also entered the fold for Charlton.
“I’m getting a lot of new schools in the SEC,” he said. “A lot of letters from Alabama, a lot of letters from Kentucky, Louisville, schools like that. I can’t name them all right now. Just a lot of those schools.”
There isn’t much interest from Charlton in those schools as he hasn’t visited them yet, and at the moment, he is more than happy with the schools already seriously courting him.
“Right now, I’m in love with the colleges that offered, especially Michigan, Notre Dame, Purdue and Cincinnati.”
