For junior defensive end Mike Barwick (Cincinnati/Summit Country Day), it was his third visit to Michigan, so he did not hesitate to leave at halftime as the rain came down.
Still, it was another good trip to Michigan for Barwick -- even if it was a short one.
“It was great,” he said. “Before the game I had a chance to talk to Coach [Mark] Smith and Coach [Jerry] Montgomery. That was great.
“I also got to walk through the tunnel which the players come out of before they play.”
Despite the rain, Barwick was impressed with the fan support in the Big House.
“It was amazing,” Barwick said. “I was surprised. With 110,000, I don’t think it gets much bigger than that.”
Barwick visited Indiana the first weekend in October.
“I really liked the facilities, they’re awesome,” he said. “I really like the way play together as a team.”
Indiana is one of the teams Barwick said is showing the most interest. Cincinnati and West Virginia are the two other teams. Both Cincinnati and West Virginia just want to see some more film on Barwick before taking the next step.
