Toledo was always among the favorites to land Grand Blanc (Mich.) defensive end Daniel Davis. On Wednesday, the Golden Rockets finally secured his commitment.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Davis called Toledo coach Matt Campbell and gave him the news Wednesday night.
“He was ecstatic,” Davis said. “He told me I was the No. 1 guy on the defensive side of the ball [on Toledo’s board] this year, and it was huge for them.”
