INDIANAPOLIS -- So far only one team is in pursuit of 2014 receiver Kenny Jones (Indianapolis/Lawrence Central), but that one program has already sent him an offer.
Indiana dished out an offer to Jones following a camp back in June, and the 6-foot-2, 183-pound receiver is grateful to already be on the radar of a BCS program.
Three former Lawrence Central players are at Indiana, and Jones has kept in touch with them to hear about what the Hoosiers program entails.
"If they like it there then I'm pretty sure I'll like it down there," Jones said. "They told me the classes is great, the teachers is great."
This past summer, Hoosiers sophomore quarterback/athlete Tre Roberson was up at Lawrence Central working out. Jones would hang out with Roberson and learn from the Lawrence Central alum.
"He helped me out a lot," Jones said. "During his breaks, he'd come up here and throw a couple of passes and I'd catch for him, (help with) the routes college receivers run, college workouts."
This offseason, Jones said he improved his speed, strength and his route running.
