Like several prospects in Indiana and Ohio, junior tight end Ethan Wolf (Minster, Ohio/Minster) had part of his game rescheduled for Saturday. That kept him from making it to Notre Dame as early as he would have liked.
Still, Wolf enjoyed his time on campus and enjoyed watching one of the country’s better tight ends in Notre Dame’s Tyler Eifert.
“He gets after it,” Wolf said. “I like the way they utilize the tight end and overall I was impressed.”
Wolf spoke with Eifert following the game, too.
“We just talked about the game and he said Notre Dame’s a great place, and I totally agree with that,” Wolf said. “He told me if I have any questions to ask him, and hopefully I’ll get some useful tips from him.”
The way the offense utilized the tight end was one of two aspects that stood out most to Wolf. The other was the game-day atmosphere.
“It was electric. We sat right behind the student section and they were hyped up the whole game, and it kept us interested,” Wolf said. “People were fired up and everyone was excited for the game.”
Through five games, Wolf estimates he has 15 grabs and two touchdowns. He sent out film to several schools already and will send out an updated highlight tape soon. He said the feedback has been very positive so far.
Wolf will visit Illinois this coming Saturday and Ohio State on Nov. 3.
Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Illinois, Ohio and Toledo have offered Wolf. Several teams in the Big Ten are interested.
