UPPER SANDUSKY, Ohio -- Held to just 30 yards in the first half, quarterback Dareian Watkins took a sweep right and headed to turn the corner. There was nothing but open field, and the Galion (Ohio) junior broke up field, cut in and out and went 66 yards for a touchdown. It broke the game open.
A season ago, Watkins believes that play only goes for a few yards at most.
“It it was last year that wouldn’t have been a touchdown,” he said, “because last year I didn’t use my speed I would just try to dance and that doesn’t get you anywhere.”
