DETROIT -- Michigan State added a commitment from Cass Tech on Sunday, and the Spartans already have their eyes set on adding a few more Cass Tech products down the line.
Cass Tech junior linebackers Deon Drake Jr. and William White will both visit Michigan State on Friday. Fellow Cass Tech junior Damon Webb and Spartans commitment Dennis Finley, a four-star senior tackle, are also expected to attend.
“I’m looking at the linebackers to see what they’re about. I like to hit,” said White, who had 14 tackles and forced a fumble in the season opener.
White likes the Spartans and Ohio State, though neither has offered yet.
The Spartans have offered Drake, who has seven offers total. Iowa, Nebraska and Notre Dame are few of the other six teams to offer.
At this early juncture, Drake is leaning the Spartans’ way.
“I sat down with the head coach [Mark Dantonio] and let me know he was real,” Drake said. “Also my family got the experience up there. They had a good time up there.”
