Ryan Kortokrax (Haviland, Ohio/Wayne Trace) was behind most Class of 2013 prospects after a severe ankle injury cost him the majority of his junior season. He made up for it this summer, though, and a 100 percent healthy Kortokrax is now committed to Akron.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle made the call and verbally pledged to the Zips and first-year coach Terry Bowden recently.
“My commitment to Akron was mainly influenced by how they’re just a family,” Kortokrax said. “They have such a great bond between the coaches and players. Their coaching staff is easy to get along with. They have a great staff to help out with their players and keeping their academics in order.”
