Commitment No. 11 is in for Iowa as rising athlete Andre Harris (Kirkwood, Mo.) gave his verbal pledge Friday.
Harris, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback/receiver at Kirkwood, visited Iowa on Thursday and said the campus, coaching staff and overall environment won him over. He chose the Hawkeyes over an offer from Illinois and interest from Northwestern, Kansas State, Kansas, Wisconsin and several other programs.
“It feels good, a lot of relieved stress,” Harris said about committing. “Iowa’s a good school. I went and saw lot of things I liked that interested me. I saw myself being there in the future.”
