It would not be an exaggeration to say Tyler Lancaster (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield East) jumped on the Northwestern offer the second he received it.
If one had talked with Lancaster on Thursday night, though, he would have said there was little chance he’d commit on the spot. But something changed while at the Wildcats’ camp Friday afternoon.
“I talked about it with my mom last night. (Committing) wasn’t the original plan,” Lancaster said. “I was going to give it some time. It felt right and I didn’t want to lose out on a spot, so I took it right away.”
