Mark Harris made sure to point out Darryl Richards (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) across the field. He was the one to keep an eye on the Cleveland-based Raw Talent CEO said.
Harris thought Richards had just one offer. Except Richards was gaining interest and offers that Harris did not even know about. The 6-foot-3, 183-pound receiver has three offers: Akron, Toledo and, most recently, Western Michigan.
“They came by the school,” Richards said of the Broncos. “Our high school we work out in the morning so he came and talked to me a little bit. He didn’t say much. He liked the way I look and the way I play. He watched me do a couple of drills. He definitely liked the way I have strength coming off of the line and my speed to get past defenders.”
Cincinnati, Kansas, Syracuse and Virginia have also stopped by Richards’ school in addition to Akron and Toledo.
Though they have not offered, Cincinnati is Richards’ early favorite.
“They’ve contacted me, and me and the coach [assistant Roy Manning] are Facebook friends and talk all the time,” Richards said.
