Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, Ohio) will have arguably the best defensive line in Ohio this season, and one of the big bodies and big names along that defensive front is Tre Williams-Brown.
Williams-Brown (6-foot-1, 247 pounds) can play either inside or outside on the defensive line and will likely move around this fall along the line. That versatility should be helpful on the recruiting front, too.
Arizona, Bowling Green and Ohio have already offered; Illinois, Pittsburgh and Purdue could be next, Williams-Brown said.
Illinois recruiting coordinator Alex Golesh was at Trotwood-Madison earlier this month and spoke to Williams-Brown very briefly.
“He was a cool dude, probably the coolest coach I’ve met,” Williams-Brown said. “Him and [assistant] Coach [Tony] Dews from Arizona are probably the two coolest coaches I met so far.”
Williams-Brown does not have any favorites but will start looking at his recruitment a little more closely.
“Mostly the schools I’ve seen have about the same thing,” he said, “so now it’s time to talk to coaches and get to know the coaches and stuff to see where they stand at.”
