Huskers send out offer to Ohio athlete

The Nebraska coaching staff has roots throughout the Buckeye State, and Youngstown, Ohio, native Bo Pelini reached into his native state to send out his latest offer.

Tight end/defensive end Devon Edwards (Columbus, Ohio/Eastmoor Academy) picked up an offer from the Cornhuskers on Thursday. The Huskers staff likes the 6-foot-3, 250-pound junior at tight end.

West Virginia, Edwards' first and only other offer, likes him at defensive end.

"I'm just going to wait everything out," Edwards said when asked if he had any favorites.

The Huskers' first commitment in the 2013 class, Marcus McWilson, is also from Ohio.
