It was only a few weeks ago when Shane Jones (Cincinnati/Moeller) said he did not have any favorites or a timetable for a decision. A few teams, including Michigan State, impressed him at that point, but a commitment to the Spartans was anything but a foregone conclusion.
Then Jones made a visit to Michigan State this past Thursday and it all but sealed the deal for him.
“I went up to go watch practice on Thursday of last week and coming back I felt so strong about [Michigan State], the coaching staff and the players,” Jones said. “I liked the place and felt this is where I want to be. I was sure of it coming back. I thought about it this weekend and felt strongly enough to pull the trigger.”
