Jordan Diamond (Chicago/Simeon) made his last official visit of the recruiting process this past weekend, to Wisconsin.
“Everything went well,” said Diamond, who unofficially visited Wisconsin twice before. “I was just hanging around the players, building a connection with those guys, going out with them.”
The Badgers have a new offensive line coach in Mike Markuson, and Diamond met him for the first time last week. While on his official visit, Diamond had a chance to continue to build a relationship with the man who could be his future position coach.
“Coach Markuson is a good coach,” Diamond said. “He’s a great teacher. He really taught me some things.”
Diamond has a final four of Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan and Wisconsin, and he officially visited all four along with Ohio State, though things have cooled between the Buckeyes and Diamond.
A decision will come on Friday in an announcement with his Simeon teammate Robert Gregory.
“My family enjoyed [this Wisconsin visit]. I enjoyed it. We connected,” Diamond said.
“I've just got to go over everything with my family and make a decision now.”
