Four-star athlete David Perkins (South Bend, Ind./Washington) skipped his official visit to Michigan State in December but it wasn't because he ruled the Spartans out. Michigan State remained near the top of the list for Perkins, who has scheduled an official visit to East Lansing a second time.
Perkins, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound running back/linebacker, confirmed in a text message he will visit Michigan State on Jan. 27. Perkins was originally scheduled to officially visit the Spartans on Dec. 16, but interest from a handful of new teams had him reconsidering his official visits and he ended up spending the weekend at home.
He officially visited Missouri in December and has a visit to Ohio State also scheduled in January. Perkins also canceled visits to LSU (Jan. 20) and Tennessee (Jan. 27).
