When Pat Fitzgerald talks with a recruit, he always leaves one question for prospects to ponder.
“How can the next four years prepare you for the next 40 years?”
That question hit home with Watch List quarterback Clayton Thorson (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North), and the answer he came up with is that Northwestern is the school that will prepare him best for life after football.
