Football Recruiting - Midlands Region: Laremy Tunsil
ESPN 300 quarterback DeVante Kincade (Dallas/Skyline) considers himself a pretty good football player and excellent teammate on and off the field. While on his official visit to Ole Miss this weekend, Kincade showed that he was a pretty good recruiter, as well.
Kincade, a solid Ole Miss commit, put on his recruiting coordinator’s hat over the weekend and was happy to be in Oxford, Miss., when three-star receiver Quincy Adeboyejo (Cedar Hill, Texas/Cedar Hill) gave the Rebels his verbal pledge. Kincade and Adeboyejo live minutes away from each other.
And while only one of the targets committed over the weekend, Kincade felt his messages were well delivered and received.

SAN ANTONIO -- It’s funny what can come from All-Star game weeks.
One minute a school isn’t even a blip on someone’s radar and the next, well, it's a blip that could grow into something much bigger.
Take ESPN 150 offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (Lake City, Fla./Columbia), for example.

SAN ANTONIO -- In recruiting, players can hate the process one day, love it the next.
ESPN 300 defensive end Joe Mathis (Upland, Calif./Upland) has seen both sides, but is looking to make the process a past discussion.
Mathis is one of seven players expected to announce where they’ll play college football during Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome. While many feel he’s leaning toward one school, Mathis said he’s eyed four schools fairly evenly.

SAN ANTONIO -- The recruitment of five-star offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil (Lake City, Fla./Columbia) is pretty cut-and-dried at this point.
Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and Ole Miss are the schools in contention for the No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 4 overall prospect in the ESPN 150.
Each school will get an official visit and then wait anxiously for his planned decision on signing day.

SAN ANTONIO -- ESPN 150 outside linebacker Mike Mitchell (Plano, Texas/Prestonwood Christian) isn’t big on speaking publicly. He’d rather let his game do the talking -- and it speaks volumes.
On Monday, the 6-foot-5, 222-pound linebacker officially confirmed that he will announce his college plans during Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Oregon, Texas A&M and Ohio State are his three finalists.
Mitchell said all three schools -- and even a fourth, Oklahoma -- had their positive qualities throughout his recruiting process. It was a feeling of comfort, however, that seemed to win him over.

RecruitingNation has summoned its writers from around the country to compile a list of the top 10 battles for elite football recruits
leading up to February's signing day. We'll update our rankings periodically to reflect a change in a player's status (i.e., new offers, trimmed-down list or a positive/negative official visit).
Our writers have debated the list for weeks, but we value your input as well. Voice your opinion on Twitter (@RecruitingESPN) using#BlueChipBattles or vote for which player should hold the No. 1 spot on Facebook.
