Hugh Freeze, in what seems like the blink of an eye, has made Ole Miss an attractive destination for recruits across the country.
No better proof of that can be found than what happened Thursday, when the Rebels picked up a commitment from Laquon Treadwell, the nation's No. 1 receiver, who resides in Illinois.
It speaks to the talent level of 2015 running back Rawleigh Williams III (Dallas/Bishop Lynch) that Freeze and his staff have already offered. And not only have they offered; the Rebels did so during spring practice of his freshman year, which makes him one of the first offers of the Freeze era.

Peyton Barber finds himself in a bit of a win-win situation.
While the Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton four-star running back is perfectly content with being committed to Ole Miss, he’s still grateful for the opportunity to take official visits this month and ensure the choice he made in July was the right one.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Laquon Treadwell (Crete, Ill./Crete-Monee) seems to like the southeastern culture, and that could be a good thing for Ole Miss.
The ESPN 150 wide receiver says the Rebels are in his top three with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. He will take his official to Stillwater on Jan. 11.
“My recruitment got pretty wild there for a couple of weeks, but once I starting talking with the schools I was most interested in and put together a top three everything settled down,” Treadwell said. “I don’t expect any schools to challenge those three, but we’ll see.”

OK, Oklahoma fans, take a deep breath and try to digest the last seven days in OU recruiting. The Sooners have gone from having 14 commits to 18 commits.
And it wasn’t just getting four pledges in seven days, it was where OU picked up the slack. It’s almost as if the coaches heard the cries of the fanbase asking for some tackles. The Sooners have delivered with two offensive tackles and two defensive tackles.
It started last Friday when three-star defensive tackle Kerrick Huggins (Dallas/Skyline) flipped from Texas A&M to OU.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan will need a big, athletic receiver next season, especially if Devin Gardner winds up at quarterback.
One of the bigger names remaining on Michigan's 2013 recruiting board would fit the bill perfectly.
Laquon Treadwell (Crete, Ill./Crete-Monee) has kept track of recruiting classes as well as shifts in depth charts. The 6-foot-3 four-star receiver wants to play early, so both will likely affect his decision. He's also looking at how teams are playing, and while the Wolverines are running a quasi-spread offense with Denard Robinson, he's well aware of their plans to move to a pro-style offense, so he has read up on that.

With Torii Hunter Jr. (Prosper, Texas/Prosper) off the board after his commitment to Notre Dame on Sunday, Texas continued its pursuit of a third receiver for its 2013 recruiting class with another call to one of the nation’s top uncommitted wideouts.
ESPN 150 prospect Laquon Treadwell (Crete, Ill./Crete-Monee) spoke with Longhorns receivers coach Darrell Wyatt on Sunday night.
The conversation was the second Treadwell has had with Texas since first hearing from their staff last Wednesday. Treadwell said the talk went well and he enjoyed getting to know Wyatt.
