Texas QB Kenny Hill makes decision
By Sam Khan Jr. and Damon Sayles
These last few weeks haven't been easy on Southlake (Texas) Carroll quarterback Kenny Hill.
The longtime Texas A&M commitment has taken visits, talked to coaches and mulled his future and whether or not he made the right choice initially when he pledged to the Aggies.
In the end, he decided that he was right the first time.
Hill affirmed his commitment to the Aggies, informing GigEmNation on Sunday that he will sign with Texas A&M on Wednesday.
"I just loved everything about it," Hill said of Texas A&M.
This month, the three-star quarterback, who led Southlake Carroll to a Texas Class 5A Division I championship in 2011, took official visits to both Baylor and Kansas State, taking both schools into consideration. It was at times a stressful process, but one Hill felt necessary to ensure he was making the right decision.
"It was pretty hard," Hill said. "I'm just excited to sign and be there and all of that."
Hill, the nation's 21st-ranked quarterback, plans to play both football and baseball at Texas A&M. His official visit to College Station on the weekend of Jan. 25 afforded him a chance to meet with the baseball coaches and check out the Aggies' baseball facilities in addition to spending additional time with the A&M football coaches and other commitments.
"The hardest part was just getting my head right and making sure I found the right spot for me," Hill said. "I’m just ready for Wednesday."
