Ja'Quay Williams: All set for TAMU

By Kipp Adams and Sam Khan Jr.

Ja'Quay Williams is ready for the next step in his football career.

Jaquay Williams originally signed with Auburn and spent last season at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia.
The four-star receiver from Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy, who committed to Texas A&M on Dec. 2, says he has fulfilled the academic requirements needed and is ready to enroll at Texas A&M in time for the spring semester.

It doesn't come as a surprise, as Williams was projected to be a mid-year enrollee at the time of his commitment, but he told RecruitingNation in a text message on Monday that he's all set.

"I qualified," Williams said. "I am just waiting on them to send my stuff to NCAA. I finished Fork Union Friday and enroll Jan. 14."

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound receiver, who is originally from Tyrone, Ga., and signed with Auburn out of high school, spent a season playing post-graduate prep school football for Fork Union this season. He committed to Auburn but decommitted in November before deciding to join Texas A&M's 2013 class in December. He is excited about his future in College Station, Texas.

"Feels great to be headed to Texas A&M," Williams said in a text message. "I just need to get away from home."

At the time of his commitment, he chose the Aggies over Georgia and South Carolina.
