Watkins, the No. 62 prospect in the ESPN 300, is one of 90 players selected to compete in the seventh annual Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance, a nationally televised competition spotlighting the country’s top high school seniors. The 2014 Under Armour All-America Game is set for 4 p.m. ET on Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised on ESPN.

“First of all, I want to thank my family,” Watkins said. “Without them, this all wouldn’t be possible. They stuck with me day in, day out. I want to thank my teammates and my coaches, and just for pushing me and giving me the opportunity to play early and get to this point in my life. I want to thank the whole school for being behind me 100 percent.”

Entering high school, Watkins couldn't have pictured where he is at today.

“I wanted to come to Under Armour All-American Game just for the opportunity to compete against the guys, and just take on the challenge. I just want to be better than my dad, and be better than the greats who have done it before me. It’s great, it’s a blessing and I wouldn’t have pictured this four or five years ago,” he said.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Watkins is the No. 62 ranked player overall, and the No. 9 cornerback in the class. He is considering Notre Dame, Arkansas, Texas Tech, Texas, Alabama and others.
