Cornerback Tyler Wrice (Papillion, Neb./La Vista) has had looks from larger, FBS schools, but for the time being he’s intent on playing FCS football next season.
Wrice committed to North Dakota State in August, but since then he has picked up significant interest from Tulsa, Wyoming, Iowa and Iowa State. The 5-foot-8, 170-pound cornerback also has offers from Illinois State, Northern Iowa and Montana. Is it enough for Wrice to make a commitment switch? Would an FBS offer sway him?
Wrice said that while it would be enticing he’s content with his decision. Part of the reason is NDSU coach Craig Bohl, who coached at Nebraska under Tom Osborne in the 1990s and structured his program at NDSU with Osborne’s in mind.
