ARLINGTON, Texas -- The play couldn’t have worked out more perfectly.
Denton Guyer lined up in a diamond formation and quarterback Jerrod Heard faked a handoff. Georgetown bit on the fake and its safeties stepped up to defend the run.
Ellis Jefferson blew right past the one covering him, and Heard lobbed a deep ball right over the middle to him. He hauled it in and nobody was stopping him.
