Conlan Aguirre (Abilene, Texas/Abilene) gets it. He’s 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds. From the eyeball test alone, he knows he won’t attract many colleges.
This is where his highlight tape comes into play. Aguirre shows an ability to be a cover corner against larger opponents. He shows that he can lay a hit when needed. He also shows a nose for the football that will make a school consider taking a chance on him.
While he’s still without an offer, Aguirre hopes his highlight tape puts him in the conversation with college recruiters. Currently, he has been in contact with Division III Hardin-Simmons University, and if he doesn’t pick up an FBS offer, he said he doesn’t mind the small-college environment.
