Things are getting down to the nitty gritty with three-star junior college wide receiver Jared Dangerfield (Fort Scott Community College).
The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder has taken one official visit to Louisiana Tech on Nov. 30 and has three others lined up: at Florida Atlantic on Jan. 11, Middle Tennessee on Jan. 18 and South Alabama on Jan. 25.
He is still contemplating whether to take his last official visit with Houston or Colorado State, which will take place sometime in January.
“It is kind of jumbled right now,” Dangerfield said. “At first Louisiana Tech was the leader. They were recruiting me the hardest and were the top school. But when they got a new head coach, I need to see how that goes.”
Dangerfield, like most junior college players, is looking to play right away.
“I am just looking for a team that can feed me the ball and utilize my assets,” he said. “I am a well-rounded wide receiver. I have good speed. I am physical. I can do everything.”
He’s eager to get back on the field for another reason, too. Dangerfield tore his ACL in the third game of the season, which required surgery. Just don’t look at it as a setback.
“I’ve just been rehabbing it and trying to get ready for next season,” he said. “I feel like I will be better than I was before.”
