An official visit to Kansas on Dec. 7 was the deciding factor in three-star junior college defensive back Kevin Short (Fort Scott Community College) giving his verbal pledge to the Jayhawks on Dec. 14.
“That pretty much solidified things,” Short said. “We went to the team banquet. It was a nice little setup. Then we went out with the players. Then the next day we went to the basketball game at Allen Fieldhouse. It’s live in there.”
He’ll officially become a Jayhawk when he signs his letter of intent sometime in February and then enrolls in the summer.
