Prospects from Butler Community College, champion of the Jayhawk Community College Conference, continue to make decisions with the midterm junior-college signing period set to open Wednesday.
Running back Derrick Thomas committed on Sunday to Boise State at the conclusion of an official visit during which he received a scholarship offer from the Broncos.
“I just felt like I was in a great environment, a great atmosphere with great coaches,” Thomas said as he prepared to leave Idaho for his Dothan, Ala., home. “It’s a great opportunity for me to come in and make a difference. I’m ready to go to work. I fit right in.”
