The news of Tommy Tuberville leaving Texas Tech for Cincinnati played on the emotions of several Red Raider commitments. Three-star running back Jalen Rhodes (Rowlett, Texas/Rowlett) was one of several shocked by Tuberville’s sudden move.
With Tuberville’s announcement, Rhodes said he will have to keep an eye out on the rest of the Texas Tech coaching staff. While he said he’s still set on playing for Texas Tech, the immediate future could determine whether or not Rhodes puts on a Red Raiders uniform next season.
“It all depends on the coaching staff and their plans,” said Rhodes, a 5-foot-8, 180-pound running back. Until I get news whether there will be major changes or not, I am committed.”
