Cornerback Torrel Saffold of Butler (Kan.) Community College picked a landmark weekend to make his first official recruiting visit of the season.
Saffold completed a two-day stay today at USF in Tampa, Fla. On Saturday, the Bulls introduced Willie Taggart, formerly of Western Kentucky, as the program’s new coach, replacing the fired Skip Holtz after a 3-9 season.
“It was a sight to see,” said Saffold, who visited USF with linebacker and junior-college teammate Rahmon Swain. “This is my first time down here to Florida, and it showed me there’s a lot of good things outside the state of Kansas.”
