Junior college offensive guard Mitchell Bell (Corsicana, Texas/Navarro College) committed to Arkansas in September, but when it was determined John L. Smith wouldn’t return as head coach, the junior college offensive lineman decided on some recruiting insurance.
While Bell is still committed to the Razorbacks, he said he will continue to keep his eyes and ears open for new offers. At 6-foot-4 and 325 pounds, Bell has good size for a guard, and he plays with a passion that catches the attention of FBS coaches. Expected to be a mid-year transfer, Bell has additional offers from Washington State, Kansas and Grambling State.
“I’m still committed, but I’m looking at other schools, just in case I don’t have anywhere else to go,” Bell said. “I still want to be at Arkansas, though.”
