Travis Green (Council Bluffs, Iowa/Iowa Western Community College) believes in second chances.
Green committed to Kansas State out of Omaha (Neb.) North High School in 2011 but found himself at Iowa Western after high school. Two years later, the 6-foot-1, 210-pound safety will get the opportunity to play in Manhattan, Kan., once again, as he verbally committed to the Wildcats on Monday.
Green became the eighth Kansas State commit and the program’s first junior college pledge of the 2013 recruiting class. Recruited by quarterbacks coach Del Miller, Green chose Kansas State over offers from Wyoming and South Dakota State.
