Norman (Okla.) North linebacker Jordan Evans went to his first Oklahoma home game as an invited recruit last Thanksgiving for OU’s victory against Iowa State.
A year later there is no longer a passing interest in Evans. He is now one of OU’s top defensive targets as he was officially offered by OU coach Bob Stoops on Saturday before OU’s 51-48 overtime victory against Bedlam rival Oklahoma State.
Evans, who is 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, has put up monster numbers in his senior season, but the offer from his hometown school still had eluded him. He has received offers from Colorado State, Air Force and Ohio, among others, but not one from the Sooners.
