Washington State commit DeMarcus Ayers (Lancaster, Texas/Lancaster) spent significant time calling plays as a dual-threat quarterback last season. Recruited by several colleges as an athlete, Ayers currently is Lancaster’s 7-on-7 quarterback.
Playing for the 2012 U.S. Under-19 national team in the IFAF World Championships, Ayers has had the opportunity to show he is even more talented at wide receiver. Ayers caught seven passes for 115 yards and a touchdown and was named the team MVP in Team USA’s 27-6 opening-round win against American Samoa on Saturday in Austin, Texas.
