The Mike Adams Camp of Conquerors 7-on-7 tournament has been a hot discussion topic since the beginning of the year, and on Sunday, the tournament will showcase some of the top teams in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The inaugural event will take place at Cedar Hill (Texas) High School. The 16-team bracket includes several FBS-caliber players, including some players ranked in the ESPN 150 and ESPN 300 as well as 2014 athletes who have the potential to be ESPN 150 and ESPN 300 players next season.

First-round games kick off at noon CT. The championship game is slated for 5:15 p.m. CT. Here are five players and three teams to keep an eye on throughout Sunday.

FIVE PLAYERS TO WATCH

  • ATH LaQuvionte Gonzalez (Cedar Hill, Texas/Cedar Hill): Few athletes possess the speed, acceleration and elusiveness of Gonzalez, a Texas A&M commit. Ranked No. 52 in the ESPN 150, Gonzalez is extremely dangerous in the open field, and he makes for a reliable option as a slot receiver.
  • WR Eldridge Massington (Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite): The 6-foot-3, 205-pound USC commit has been one of the hardest players to defend in 7-on-7 play all spring. Massington plays with a chip on his shoulder, almost as if he still has to prove himself. He is No. 163 in the ESPN 300.
