Louisiana-Monroe’s first commitment of the 2013 recruiting class is a quarterback – one who doesn’t have a problem with slinging the ball around.
Bivins Caraway III (Longview, Texas) verbally committed to the Warhawks late Wednesday afternoon. The 6-foot, 200-pound quarterback chose ULM over offers from Texas State, New Mexico and Navy. Caraway also received interest from Memphis, Kansas State, Houston and Louisiana Tech.
“I’m excited and relieved about everything,” Caraway said. “I wouldn’t say it was getting stressful, but it was picking up. I’m glad it’s come to a head. Hopefully I’m the start of a good recruiting class.”
