It was February when cornerback/return specialist Ranthony Texada (Frisco, Texas/Centennial) was still on the hunt for his first offer. A little more than two months later, Texada is now up to five offers and is expecting more looks as the spring continues.
Texada picked up offers from Navy and Troy on Wednesday after receiving an offer from UNLV last week. Western Kentucky and Air Force were his first two offers.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound junior is being recruited by Navy receivers coach Mick Yokitis. He’s being recruited by cornerbacks coach Julius Brown.
