Peyton Newell (Hiawatha, Kan.) thought he was in trouble Friday afternoon. Turns out, it was exactly the opposite.
After getting called in his coach’s office – with his parents in attendance – the 2014 defensive end left with his very first offer.
Newell spoke with his TCU recruiting contact, tight ends coach Dan Sharp, as well as head coach Gary Patterson, Newell left the coach’s office with an offer from the Horned Frogs. Newell is emerging into of the top defensive ends of the 2014 class.
