One thing cornerback Maurice Smith (Sugar Land, Texas/Dulles) does not lack is confidence. He said a couple of months ago that he felt he was one of the two best corners in Texas for the 2013 class.
Following his performance at the Nike Football Training Camp event on Sunday, it is becoming tough to doubt him. Smith, 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds and on the ESPNU Watch List, was one of four players from the camp to earn an invite to The Opening and was the only defensive back to earn the honor.
