Less than 24 hours after decommitting from Texas A&M, running back Johnny Jefferson (Killeen, Texas/Shoemaker) verbally committed to Baylor early Thursday afternoon.
A 5-foot-10, 190-pound, all-purpose running back, Jefferson chose Baylor over offers from Notre Dame, TCU, UCLA, Ohio State and Houston, in addition to Texas A&M. An all-district selection in 2011, Jefferson rushed for 812 yards and nine touchdowns.
Jefferson committed to Texas A&M mid-February, but recent visits to TCU and Baylor made reconsider his decision. After visiting Baylor’s pro day on Wednesday and in speaking with recruiting contact Jeff Lebby, Jefferson said the Bears are the best for him.
