Junior quarterback Trent Hosick (Kansas City, Mo./Staley) picked up an offer from Northwestern Tuesday night, upping his offer count to three as his young recruiting process continues.
The 6-foot-2, 221-pound, dual-threat quarterback has been offered by Northwestern, Tulsa and Iowa. Schools such as Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Stanford have shown major interest.
Hosick led Staley to a Missouri Class 5 state championship his junior season, throwing for 1,422 yards and 10 touchdowns but also rushing for an impressive 2,054 yards and 31 touchdowns. In passing situations, on a run-oriented team, he completed 63 percent of his attempts.
Hosick said he plans on scheduling unofficial visits and junior day appearances to colleges after his wrestling season. Hosick competes in the heavyweight division for his school’s wrestling team.
