With three offers on the table, under-the-radar athlete Adrian McDonald (Lawton, Okla./Eisenhower) chose the school that could best benefit him down the road.
McDonald verbally committed to Wyoming late Tuesday night, choosing the Cowboys over offers from North Texas and Louisiana Tech. McDonald was a quarterback at Eisenhower, but he is expected to line up in the secondary for Wyoming.
McDonald, who visited Wyoming early last month, said the small town of Laramie, Wyo., which steers some recruits away, was an attractive option to him. Because of the college-town environment, McDonald is hoping that focusing on school and football will be easier to do.
